Senior IT Specialist

Company Overview:

We offer managed IT services for small and medium sized businesses as well as non-profit groups. We also offer web design, SEO, social media and online reputation management. Essential Criteria for the Senior IT Specialist:

Digital Link is in immediate need of a confident and flexible Systems Administrator who brings with them deep technical understanding of networking and systems and an entrepreneurial spirit! This is an opportunity to build up a high-quality Managed Services environment for Digital Link’s growing client base. The foundations are in place and require the leadership to move us to the next level.

Job duties include:

  • IT support for technical support requests in person, phone or via email. Ticket creation and monitoring of resolution status.
  • Plan and deploy solutions for various project and operational needs for clients
  • Onboard new clients within Digital Link standards
  • Travel within the greater Edmonton area
  • At a minimum 3-5 years of experience in a System Administration/Support role
  • At a minimum 3-5 years experience with RMM and PSA tools
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have managed services experience
  • Relevant industry certifications are an asset
  • Setup and management of MS Windows Server including 2008 R2 and higher environments
  • Perform workstation/laptop hardware refreshes as appropriate
  • Install and configure networking hardware (routers, switches, voice gateways, firewalls)
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
  • Superior time management skills
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards and documentation
  • Fluent, clear spoken and written English
  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential

Experience with the following:

  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Active Directory, MS Exchange
  • Office 365 Management and Configuration
  • Office 365 SharePoint Management and Configuration
  • Microsoft Desktop and Server Operations System
  • Firewall and Wi-Fi Configurations
  • Networking devices including routers, commercial firewalls, switches
  • Network attached devices
  • Network troubleshooting including DNS and DHCP issues.
  • NAS Devices
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Deliver excellent results in an unsupervised environment

Bonus Knowledge:

  • Kaseya RMM experience
  • Kaseya BMS experience
  • Remote Support w/ ScreenConnect
  • IT Portal / IT Glue Documentation experience
  • Business Development, identifying and creating client proposals
  • Virtualization experience

Salary: $30-40/hr based on experience

Position: Full-time

Social Media Marketer/Copywriter

Essential Criteria for the Social Media Marketer/Copywriter:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and social media savvy individual. Working alongside a dynamic team, as well as independently, the successful applicant will be responsible for creating, curating and scheduling social media content for a variety of clients. As a flexible team player, the Social Media Specialist will be expected to fulfill duties as needed, respond to tight deadlines and quick turnarounds and provide engaging social media content on a regular basis.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills:

  • Commercial social media engagement and growth experience with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+ (and all the rest)
  • Experience in content creation and ability to create/curate engaging and relevant content across applicable social media platforms for a variety of clients
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience writing for various platforms including: blogs, web sites and social media
  • Experience with analytics including making conclusions, deriving strategy and applying information to strategy.
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Open to feedback and learns quickly
  • Personable and professional
  • Flexible and dependable
  • Strong computer skills

Business Development

Job Purpose of the Outside Sales Rep
Digital Link is looking to grow and we are looking for people to grow with us. The successful applicant will generate new business through in-person, self-generated meetings, cold calls and through our referral program. Digital Link has many unique services which are offered in a very competitive way and it will be the Account Manager’s task to spread the word!

Essential Criteria for the Account Manager:

  • Solid sales experience
  • Commercially minded, analytical and diligent with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong relationship driven sales experience with proven retention.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Creative, flexible and able to adapt to industry change.
  • Should be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment as well as be able to work alone.
  • Adept at building world class customer relationships.
  • Able to articulate value of Digital Link’s offerings to clients.
  • Knowledge of IT / web services is an asset.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office and associated applications.
