THE TECHNICAL TEAM
Derrick has a sensitivity and insight into people not often seen—something he’s cultivated from his studies in psychology and from his years with EMS. His love of computers stems from childhood, and, today, as president of Digital Link, Derrick combines his deep empathy and sincere desire to cultivate positive relationships with his unbridled passion for IT. His love of all things tech, football, mountain climbing and music is matched only by his love for his wife Amanda, their three sons and his giant schnauzer, Icarus.
A Microsoft-certified solution expert and technology specialist, Sylvester has a deep appreciation of Microsoft best practices and extensive experience providing cost-effective IT solutions. He relies on his keen troubleshooting ability and attention to detail not only when assisting clients, but also when washing and cleaning his car to perfection. A true automotive enthusiast, Sylvester follows car collector Alejandro Salomon’s YouTube channel for all the buzz about super cars, living vicariously until he can one day buy one of his own.

THE DESIGN TEAM
Having studied at the University of Alberta and at Concordia University of Edmonton, Amanda has a background in the sciences and photography. Realizing that visual communication is her true calling, however, she went on to pursue design studies at MacEwan University and, in the course of her career, has created innovative layouts for books, magazines and websites. When not designing for Digital Link or dissuading husband Derrick and their three sons from declaring full-blown Nerf war on one another, Amanda often completely loses herself in a good book or risks losing her voice cheering for the Edmonton Oilers.
With a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and an honours diploma from NAIT’s Digital Media and IT program, Erin’s passion for visual communication and for helping others is infused in every one of her design concepts. Tech savvy Erin not only enjoys looking to the Internet for creative inspiration, but she’s also keen on surfing the ocean. Erin’s insatiable curiosity has taken her from her small hometown in northern British Columbia to New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Europe and, more recently, to Nicaragua, where she learned to ride the waves.
A self-professed die-hard gamer, Jason is a self-taught web developer whose love of computers started when, as a child, he helped his father build a PC. Additional courses in Flash development, web design and programming fed that boyhood passion and helped chart Jason’s future career path. A graduate of NAIT’s Digital Media and IT program, Jason, when not performing rad tricks on his skateboard, can be found skulking through the catacombs of Skyrim or vanquishing his enemies in World of Warcraft.
An alumna of the University of Alberta and a graduate of MacEwan University’s Public Relations program, Rachelle has extensive experience not only writing, editing and desktop publishing, but also moderating online communities, and developing web and social media strategies. She’s written on contemporary women’s issues, music, health and technology. When not actively copywriting, Rachelle enjoys singing, playing the piano, and open‑world fantasy games. Proficient in French and Spanish, as well as English, she hopes her musical influences will magically manifest into a multi-language rock opera where both dragons and vocals soar.
