Technology in Business

All month, we’re going to talk about some resolutions you should consider setting for your business this year. We already talked about the importance of customer care. This week, we want to suggest the importance of setting a resolution to embrace technology in your business.

Technology in your Business

Technology can seem incredibly overwhelming. You just want to go about the business of sharing your work with the world, and the learning curve for new tech can seem like a distraction. However, 2020 seems like a good year to stop telling everyone how much technology and the online world scares you and start finding out how it can help you.

Some of the big trends in 2020 are around AI and chat bots (we’ll talk more about that next week); social media commerce (making it easy to buy right from social media); and going green. But all it takes to embrace technology in your business is a willingness to learn.

The best place to start is with a review of your frustrations. Make a list of repetitive activities that take up a large amount of time, and places where errors often occur in your business. These are good places to insert the right technology and improve business. The proper technology, whether it be hardware or software, can make everything work better.

In the coming weeks, we’ll talk more about specific ways to inject technology into your business; but for now, set a resolution that you will be less resistant to technology in your business in 2020. It all starts with a positive mindset and being open to tools that make your job easier. We know you can do it, and this series of blogs will be sure to hep you out as well.
