Celebrating International Women’s Day

While we at Digital Link believe every day should celebrate the accomplishments of women, we are excited to have International Women’s Day, which is a day dedicated to lifting females up. Our team is comprised of many strong and accomplished women: Web Manager Bree, Office Manager/Lead Designer Amanda, and Communications Coordinators Kristi and me, Alyce. All bring unique skills, expertise, and talent to our Digital Link team. It means a great deal to work with this dynamic team of women, as well as the men who support and encourage our roles, ideas, and leadership.

On a personal note, I have had the great blessing of being surrounded by strong women throughout my life. This is something I don’t take for granted, and as I raise my own two daughters, I am grateful to have had, and continue to have, amazing women help lead me on my journey. My mom has always been an unwavering pillar of love and support. I wouldn’t be the woman, person, or mother I am today without her guidance and strength. And then there is Miss Hart, my amazing fourth grade teacher (fitting for how incredible her heart was). It was at this young age when I began to experience severe anxiety to the point that I couldn’t go to school. My mom and Miss Hart worked together, and, with their support, I was able to return to school.

My sister, who is six years older than me, has always been my greatest cheer leader (even though she wasn’t sure about me at first!) and is amazing at her career, a wonderful mom, and the best sister I could have asked for. In my years at Digital Link, I have had the opportunity to work alongside fantastic women and with a team that supports diversity, differences, and inclusiveness.
