Clinic Management Software Works the Knots Out

March 2, 2018 • Tech Tips

Since graduating from CDI College in 2013, registered massage therapist Michelle Markle has built her career around helping people feel relaxed, revived and rejuvenated. Michelle has treated a wide array of patients since completing her training—from preschoolers to octogenarians, and from injured athletes to those recovering from joint replacements or vehicle accidents. She strives to achieve the best possible outcome for her patients, whatever their age or particular needs.

Michelle’s techniques help reduce pain and stress, while allowing clients to discover a renewed sense of well-being. These modalities include not only therapeutic massage, but also hot stone massage and treatment for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction. Aware that muscle tension in the face and jaw can cause pain, Michelle has developed and approaches allow her to minimize clients’ discomfort.

Lasting between an hour and 90 minutes, a hot stone massage is an ideal way to relieve muscle tension, while allowing for a deep, relaxing massage. This is because the stones are heated to temperatures of 60 to 65 C (140 to 150 F) two hours before treatment. When clients present for their massage, the hot stones activate the body’s natural healing processes and allow for more effective manipulation of the body’s soft tissues.

Michelle believes that accessibility, convenience and hassle-free billing are also integral to superior customer service experience. As such, she relies on ChiroSUITE, a clinic management software package that allows not only effective patient interactions and appointment scheduling, but also direct patient billing, and quick, seamless insurance claims processing. Michelle also ensures her clients are able to reach her by cellphone, and she hopes to one day afford her clients the ability to book massage appointments online.

Practising out of RSM Massage in St. Albert, Michelle relishes the opportunity to help those living with pain, discomfort, stress or anxiety.
